Tuscan Water District

As a small farmer I oppose the creation of the Tuscan Water District.
– Joanna Warrens

We have used groundwater in our orchards since 1936 and it is sustainable. I oppose the Tuscan Water District because it was created by the 56 largest landowners in the district and is based on assessed value. This leaves small farmers and domestic well owners with little representation. The largest landowner in the Tuscan Water District is Farmland Reserve based in Salt Lake City Utah with 12,040 acres! The second largest is Rancho Esquon with 9,116 acres from Concord. My opponent may live locally, but he endorsed the Tuscan Water District and is a powerful advocate for Big Ag and corporate interests. Supervisors represent people, not land. You have my word, I will fight to protect groundwater for all its users!
